Mary P. Tripp The writings below are those of my great, great grandmother, Mrs. Mary P. Tripp. I was tempted, for the sake of clarity, to make corrections in grammar and some of the words contained therein. This notion, however, gave way to the importance of preserving the author's understanding of the rules of grammar, punctuation and spelling. Effort was also made to simulate the publishing style as it appeared in the Paullina Times, (Paullina, Iowa, O'Brien County) in March of 1892.
