    • Roy Wesley Keidel joined the Army in 1940 and was in the Phillipine Islands when the Japanese took over. He was on the awful death march from Manila. He was captured at Corregidor. Roy spent three and a half years in the Japanese prison camp, spending most of that time in the coal mines of Fukuoka, Japan. He was there until the war ended. He was buried with all military honors at the Greenacres Memorial Park, near North Bellingham, Wahington age 59 years.
