Notes:
!1)She is the author of TRIPP WILLS, DEEDS AND WAYS, 1930, Washington, DC. This is a confusing book, poorly organized, yet has valuable information. It would be good to check the Syron family to obtain any notes the book was based on. She appaparently did a second book, on the BONNELL family, in 1935. 2)Bill Dean says "What a woman! At about age 30 she was President of the all-male Natural History Society in Galen. She was a photographer, raised fancy poultry in her later years. She had a Genealogy service in Washington, DC. She wrote for Harpers Bazaar and the Rural New Yorker." 3)Clyde Times, Sept 21, 1911, p4Col1:"Mrs Frank Hadley Valentine will appear in forecoming addition (sic) of Who's Who in America" Clyde Timeses, 7 Apr 1904,p1 c3, Carolyn writes under name of Myra V. Norys for Poultry papers. And, Clyde Times, 22 Oct 1896 p3c3 Carolyn won a competition of identifying wild flowers at a fair in Madison Square Garden. She identified 60. Above, per Bill Dean computer data base on Tripp's in Seneca County, in PLT ARCHIVES, V17. 4)P 150 of Valentine gives 8 Nov 1822 as marriage date, which is impossible. I select 8 Nov 1872 as the logical correction. PLT 5)p 186 of Valentine gives a good biography of her.
