1. Josiah Ballard was born on 11 Feb 1762 in New Salem, Massachusetts; died on 07 Jun 1837. Notes:
Josiah Ballard is my 5th Cousin, five times removed. In the Revolutionary War Josiah served as a substitute for his father, and at the age of sixteen fought his firt fight under Ethan Allen at Ticonderoga. Joseiah ooperated the tavern left him by his father. It was located on 160 acres of land. The taver sign "Ballard" is now at the New Salem Museum. Attested by ancestors of Harold Foote Ballard.
