Gideon married Florence Mae Duncan Nov 11 1899 according to Iowa marriage records. Gilbert married Florence Duncan Tripp Sept 18 1900 according to Iowa marriage records. On the 1900 census taken June 14 1900 Gideon is listed as head of household with wife Florence, no children. Gideon's mother Harriet and brother Gilbert are listed at the same address. An unnamed child was born Aug 25 1900 to Gideon and Florence according to Iowa birth records. Neither Gideon nor the child have records after this point. Gilbert and Florence went on to have four children, the first born in Sept 1901, the others all died before 1910 (see census: 5 births/1 living). That Florence married so quickly after the birth of her child with Gideon suggest that both Gideon and child died.
