    Rufus Elmer Owens was hoping to get to Idaho were jobs were easier to get. He and his brother Houston were hopping trains to get there. The last time Houston saw Elmer, he had motioned for Houston to get into a railroad car, but he could not make it, so took another one. When the train reached Idaho, Houston could not find Elmer anywhere. Elmer's body was later found on another train track in which they did not travel on. He was most likely robbed and thrown from the train.

He lives in Anna Illinois. His address is: Omer Lincoln Owens Route 1 Box 80 Anna, Illinois 62906 Phone 618-833-2479 Omer Lincoln Ownes celebrated his 90th birthday, when his four sons flew him to California for his first plane ride and a big celebration. All the sons were there! He was born Feb 2, 1902.
