2) CENSUS OF 1880: C. R. TRIPP is married to Rosa. Perhaps a second wife, nevertheless born 1815. In 1880 C. R. TRIPP is a carpenter.

3) Census of 1870 identifies him as Rathbone, g gives "francinia" as name of that same confusing daughter's name. So, I name him Cogswell Rathbone Tripp. Phew.

4)August 29, 1987: Pat Notif renames him Cogswell R. Tripp and gives 1968 ordinance dates. Who dunnit?

5)1988 IGI has this familyy, less Lewis. So, I picked up birthdates of all children, and add Lewis to the family. per PLT ARCHIVES, V21. And, note IGI spells it "Coggswell".

6)He is buried in Seneca Falls Cem. with Lucy his wife, along with Mary Stimpson, mother of Lucy S. Tripp. May 18, 1990: Babbitt, via photos of tombstones, and notes on back of photos, clarifies name of cemetery to be "Springbrook", per Bernard Babbitt correspondence, 1990, PLT ARCHIVES V 19. Using the cemetery inscription, I calculate birth date of 12 Sep 1807.

7)Valentine gives his birth date as 20 Aug 1807, which I adopt, because she gives each of his brothers and sisters birthdates, as usual, without source, although she says she got it "direct from the family". Valentine, p177. Valentine spells it Coggshall.
