Notes - He is thought by Ernest Klein to be the parent of Israel Tripp, born in Canada in 1770 and Richard Tripp of Dutchess County, New York, who went to Canada about 1798. This is also believed by Charles Demille Tripp, who said his grandfather Daniel often spoke of his father's tales of life in Dutchess County New York. Klein thinks their removal to Canada may have been prompted by the fact that they were to be executed as Tories.
