  8/2024-CD: I can find no documentation of this Wm's parents. I have put Wm H here as he fits in every way except that his age in the 1850 census is given as 55. I believe it should be 35. It appears his wife died after 1850 as did their youngest son Wm. F. The two older girls married before 1860 while Emeline S or Emma was fostered out to Elisha Tripp and his wife Mary. Son George H appears to have served in the Union Army and then married. Wm H. may be the same sibling who married a second time in 1862 to Joann Cary so you will see him entered twice in this family with the different birth years. Tis a mystery! MANY Tripps are buried in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Portsmouth, NH. It would help to connect them all.
