  Allie was the first "wife" of Joshua Tripp (born ca. 1806, died 1870). It is unclear if they officially married; he married Penelope "Penny" Moye in January 1852 in Pitt County, North Carolina. Allie's children with Joshua included Moses, Cullen, William "Henry", Charles R., and Lynn (AKA Lanier, Linwood, and other "L" names). Allie was still alive as of the 1880 U.S. Census, when she was enumerated in Greenville Township, Pitt County, North Carolina, in the home of her son, William Henry Tripp. (Joshua's children with Penelope Moye included Warren, Pennie Catherine "Kate", Susan, and Joshua.)
