Notes - Petition for Probate, 1888, does NOT name him. The Stanley Reynolds Collection at Waterloo Hist Soc says David W. Tripp was killed in the battle of Gettysburg, July 18, 1863. At this point, I don't know if he is the same David. Birth datete, 1845, and death date, 1863, at least fit, making him a tender age of 18.
2)IGI gives 19 Jan 1845 for birth date, place: Cicero, Onondaga, and his ordinance dates. 3)Tombstone photo, provided by Bernard Babbitt, gives d 6 July 1863, age 18y5m; died in battle of Gettysburg, per Bernard Babbitt correspondence, 1990, PLT ARCHIVES V 19.
