  Marriage data taken from Marriages, 1827-57, Washtenaw Co, Mich, published 1961. She was 37, and named MRS. Polly Kress, meaning she was formerly married to Mr. Kress. Per "Doll Index", notice, 1/1/1838, in Michigan Argus stating "Polly Tripp" had a letter at Saline PO awaiting her since July 6, 1837. However, this Polly is NOT the person because she became Polly Tripp in her 1840 marriage. So, THERE'S ANOTHER POLLY TRIPP? Indeed, there is, its Thomas' daughter, Rachel Polly Tripp, ID20236, who would very logically be in Saline with her father Thomas, and who certainly is the subject of the letter. 2) We have a George Tripp who married Matilda L. Smith, who is the son of Perigo. This must be a later marriage of Perigo, after the marriage to Polly Kress, or maybe Matilda L. Smith IS Mrs. Polly Kress. George Tripp, b 1845, apparently has a sister, Ellen, b 1843, who are both apparently children of Perigo. This needs clarification by my source on this, Camille Myers, per Camille Myers Notes, PLT ARCHIVES, V17.
