  CD, Mar 2023: "Daisy" Elizabeth may have been born out of wedlock to the woman listed as her aunt (Nancy Pierce) in the 1900 census. She gave her name as Elizabeth Pierce on a son's birth certificate. Her 3 sons with O. B Tripp gave her maiden name as Pierce on their death certificates. Nancy Lewis, widow, is listed on the 1910 and 1920 censuses as Oakley B's mother-in-law. O.B. was the informant for Daisy's death certificate and gave the names David R Lewis and Nancy Pierce (incorrectly transcribed as Nancy Rearee) as her parents. It appears Nancy was briefly married to David Lewis after 1900 and then widowed. I have been unable to find a marriage record for Daisy/Elizabeth and Oakley Tripp.
