Notes
Ezra Davis Green, son of Elizabeth and John Moser Green, was born in McLean County, Illinois in 1860. After his father enlisted in the Illinois Infantry in 1862, the farm was rented and his mother took her 3 sons George, Edgar and Ezra into the town of Saybrook. When John returned after the Civil War, they continued to live in Saybrook. As young men, Ezra and his cousin Ray left Illinois and went to Carthage, Missouri where they opened a butcher shop. later, they moved into Kansas opening a shop in Blue Mound and then in Fulton. In 1886 Ezra wedded Nettie Lona Wright, daughter of Silas Wright and Mary Ann Martin. There were eleven children born to them. After the children were grown and most of them moved to Kansas City, Ezra and Nettie left their farm to move there themselves. They are both buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.
