  • Notes

    • Charles Elliot Rice is my 7th Cousin, one time removed. He was a photgrapher at the time he married Ellen Hynes. Later he was listed as an employee of C.W. Sayward, manufacturor of doors, sash, blinds and stairrails; dealer in lumber, glass anand putty; also custom planing and sawing. Local Central Street, Woodstock, Vermont Family tradition has it that he cut himself while doing carpentry work and the wound didn't bleed much, though he died of consumption, could that have been causeed by "blood poisoning" or massive infection? Have not as yet found date of a divorce or an annulment from Mary Jane Heath of Barnard; but the marriage to Ellen is recorded in the Woodstock, Vermont town records.
