  George Proctor Rice was a chair maker. First of our side of the Rice family to come to Vermont. Many of his granfather's ( Reuben Senior ) siblings came through Vermont on their way to Western Reserve, New York and at least two, Eliakim and David, are buried in Jennyville cemetery, Hartland, Vermont.
