    • Doctor John died two weeks after catching a cold that turned into pneumonia. Atteded Palmyra Academy. Later, he attended Hobart College in Geneva New York and completed a medical course in the office of Dr. Samuel McIntyre of Palmyra. Received his diploma from the State Censor (One of the two out of the five to pass the rigid examination).
