!RECORDS: NOTES IN THE N. E. HISTORY AND GEN. REGISTER OF JANUARY AND APRIL, 1870, BY REV. DAVID SHERMAN, WILBRAHAM, MASS. GLEANINGS IN ENGLAND VOL 2, P 1202, N.E. HIST. REG. VOL. 24, P 63-5. He was a clothier in Dedham. His marriage recordeded in the parish records. He was the cousin Henry Sherman mentioned in the will of Pierce Butter of Colchester, dated Aug 1599, also the "Henry Sherman the Elder" appointed as a co-executor. His will dated Aug 21, 1610 was proved Sep 8, 1610, In their wills were mentioned their children.The bequests included the manor of Dedham Hall of about 20 acres, and other houses and land, also personal items and money.
