  He was a printer and schoolteacher. He married and moved ot Greenbush where he was Postmaster. They then moved to Oakland Co., then to Detroit. There he enlisted in Co. "G", 1st Reg. Mich. Vols. in the Mexican War. After the end of the war he was discharged and died of an illness he'd got in the army.
