Abraham emigrated with his father from Virginia to Hocking County, Ohio in 1805. After his marriage to his cousin Susan Beery, he settled on land given to him by his father-in-law in lower Rush Creek Township, Fairfield County. The county line was changed in 1852; his land becoming part of Hocking County. Abraham is buried in the family graveyard. ["Beery Family History"] - page 79-80.
