    • In the space of 9 years years Solomon Tripp lost four little sons and his wife in death leaving him with three children to care for. He put an ad in the paper for ".. a housekeeper with marriage in mind. She must be a christian woman and like children." Lurinda Idell Towle Anderson answered the ad. She was a widow with two small children from her first husband Howard Anderson.
