  Evelyn Fairbanks Freer died when Leroy was about 3 years old and his little sister June was about 1 year old. Her husband Leroy Freer was going to adopt the children out when Evelyn's sister Genevieve heard about it and then married Leroy, to raise the children. She then divorced Leroy in about 1931 and married Glen Lincoln Robertson. The chilren were then about 8 and 11 years old.
