  Witnesses to Lydia Tripp's second marriage to William Sheffield, was Sarah Weller and Andrew A. Tomson, ( he also witnessed marriage of son Charles in 1827). Marriage: Home District Marriage Register, Vol 3, Page 200, Ontario Archives. Sheffield apparently died before 1850, probably in Scarborough. 1850 Illinois Census, Kane County Hampshire Township #57-Lydia Tripp ( not Sheffield ) 67 born New York, Andrew 30 and William 15 both b Canada West.
