    • Fern Tripp 2035 East Sierra Way Dinuba, California 93618 Telephone 209-591-3157 Mildred Fern Marks Tripp, we are so happy to meet you. Your husband is my eithth cousin, one generation removed. Your son James Judd Tripp is my ninth cousin. Wellll, that is closer than no relation at all! Judd is a direct descendant of Joseph Tripp, the third son of John Tripp the Founder. I am a direct decen- dant of Peleg Tripp the second son of John Tripp the Founder. Peleg was born in Rhode Island iin 1642, and Joseph was born in Rhode Island in 1644. They were of course brothers and Judd and my ancestors. It is indeed ironic the way we have met. Several months ago, my son Clifford Allen Tripp was talking to a lady about business, on the telephone. Cliff said, "Would you give me your name so that I can ask for you, personally, if I need to talk to you again." The girl at the end of the line said, "My name is Sally Tripp." Cliff about fell off of his chair. "My name is Clifford Tripp, we must be related." Cliff gave my name and phone number to Sally, and told her to give "Dad" a call, because he was working on ancestory. Sally, gave me a call, and was I surprised, when I found her great. great grandfather in the computer. We were immediate relatives. Since that time Sally has sent me much information, gleaned from you. She told me about you "her Grandma" immediately and about how you had collected a lot of valuable information about the Tripps as well as other ancestors. And now, I have met you, your son,Judd, his wife, Lois, and his son James Wesley. My wife, Clara, and I are impressed and very pleased at the hospitality extended to us from all of you. You have excited us with y your stories about our long lost relatives. I am only sorry I did not meet James Lorane Tripp, he sounds like a neat guy. It sounds as if he truly lived out his dream of a life in the mountains doing what he liked to do best! But wait, we have not met the one who started all of this. Where is Sally? We have enjoyed so much talking on the phone! We will meet soon! Herman William Tripp--Remembering----
