Roxie Owens and James Brown were married in the Walnut Grove Church which was built by her father Matthew Henry Owens. The wedding took place on a Sunday morning between 9 am and 10 am. Two of their twelve children that died young are buried in the Brown Cememtery in Webster County, Kentucky.
