Notes - Bock: Called formerly of Providence, he died by 1781 at time of daughter Susanna's marriage. He was of Stonington Connecticut on April 27, 1752, when Joseph Sears of Westerly Rhode Island was apprenticed to him (Westerly TC and Probate Rec 3 [5]:303).
He was an Elder in the Quaker Creek meeting. A certificate to Creek was issued 14 June 1784 for Lot and son-in law Joseph Talcott [?].
At one time there were 3 Lott Tripp's in the Hudson Valley--the father and son who came early and were in Nine Partners from 1760 and a third in Greenfield in Saratoga in 1800 (Valentine). Dutchess County Tax Lists show him in Town of Beekman on farm of Joseph Lake 1759 and February 1760-1777.
In 1761 he was listed as a Quaker of Oswego in the Oblong (Dutchess County New York Residents 1761-63; Hasbrouck 653).
Lott had purchased land in Scituate from his cousin Edward Manton of Providence on September 4, 1755 (BK4:270), Lott being from Stonington Connecticut. (Arnold 7:140, given as son of Lott and Anna; Freda Beach; Casey 52, who called him Joseph, son of Lott; Randall, John Tripp, 2; Tripp Trails 2:24; Maurine Krohn; Janet Pease, place of m. as Narragansett, Washington, Rhode Island; Valentine, 163,181).
