Bock: On 24 April 1797, Elizabeth Gifford of Dartmouth, widow and w whose names are hereunto subscribed being the heirs of Benjamin Tripp and Cathrine Tripp late of West Port, Deceased in consideration of $840 by Anna Tripp and Mary Gifford, Ebenezer Tripp, Alice Tripp Elizabeth Tripp, Anthony Tripp, Culbert Tripp, Susan Gridley, Meribah Tripp, Lot Tripp, Peleg Tripp, George Potter, Rebecca Potter, Lydia Tripp, Ephriam, Thomas Tripp.
Although not specifically stated, Benjamin's children seem to have been established by this deed through a process of elimination as Ebenezer, Alice Elizabeth (who apparently did not marry Elisha Russell in 1761), Meribah and husband James Tripp, Lot Tripp, Peleg Tripp, Rebecca and Husband George Potter.
As neither Theodate nor Peleg Potter nor any of their children signed, their identification needs further confirmation.
Ebenezer inherited part of his father's homestead and his clothing. In a deed dated 18 March 1763, he sold 13 acres and 63 rods to Benjamin Brownell (BLR 8:52-4).
He sold another 13 acres to Job Taber on 27 October 1766 (BLR 9:388-89. Called weaver in both deeds and co-signed by Catherine Tripp (mark).
