  Info from Bowdish Cemetery, Seneca Co, History of Seneca County, page 82, "Gideon Bowdish came upon the lot (lot 80, Waterloo, earlier owned by "John" Tripp) at a very early period, and buying 80 acres, made a temporary home of logs."
