  • Notes

    • !1)the 1820 census of Galen, Seneca, NY shows her as aged 16 to 26, with two children. I estimate her age at 25, as a result, giving her an "about" birth year of 1795 2)11/88: Avery gives her age, 53, and death date, giving 1796 as birth year. PLT 3)Galen, first in Seneca co, later Wayne co, means Wayne was cut off from Seneca, right? 4)Junius Friends record gives her death date 22 Aug 1849, aged 53y8m22d, a strange coincidence that calculates to 31 Dec 1795 as birth date, but I think it was not known, only 1796 as the birth year, hence the calculation of age at death was simplified to y,m,d of 53y8m22d. So, I hold w/ Avery-given dates.PLT 5)Tombstone, per Bill Dean computer data base on Tripp's in Seneca County, in PLT ARCHIVES, V17, says b 1796, d1849, some other source gives 1819 for marr.
