    • !1)Earned substantial income. Lived in covert. Worked in Road Construction. His only child, Max Tripp, a "wild one. Max went to school at Ferris Institute, Big Rapids. Later he and his wife were convicted of counterfieting and served in fed pen, Iowa". (from Max Williams, Detroit) 2)His birth date, 16 Oct 1870, is impossible. He was enumerated at 11 months of age in the 1870 census, 24 June 1870. That put his birth as July 1869. The 16 Oct 1870 date is from the Family Bible of James W. Tripp, once in possession of Perry Tripp, record now in PLT ARCHIVES, V17.
