    • Daniel was a prosperous farmer and large landowner. According to Westport land records, Humphrey Howland of Westport sold on March 25 1802 to Daniel, Luthan and Tillinghast Tripp, all of Westport, 66 acre farm in Westport. On June 1, Daniel Tripp "Yeoman for love and affection to his two sons, Luthan and Tillinghast" sold his right in this farm. On may 5, 1824 Daniel Tripp sold Tillinghast land near his home.
