Children met in a house on the site of the Chas. Fowler residence before a regular school had been built.
School presided over by Mr. Orrin Thompson who did duty as surveyor of many of our roads. The register shows an enrollment of 18 names to which are added the "names of scholars between the ages of 5 and 17 of District No. 4."
