Notes - References: Bock: He was a private in Captain Gorton's Company and Colonel lippits Regiment Sept 1776 ( Arnold 12:277( and Colonel John Topham's Regiment ( Randall ). (RI IGI; Randall, James Tripp 12,19; DAR Patriots Index 688; 1777 military census in RI ROOTS shows Robert Tripp in West Greenwich, 16-50, able to bear arms).
From 1781-1783 Robert was a member pf Colonel Edward Jessop's Corp of Loyal Rangers. By 1783 Robert and his wife and child were at the Riviere du Chene Loyalist settlement in Canada. Later he received land in the Gaspe, Canada where many of descendants remain today.
