    • Isaac Tripp son of Isaac Tripp and Catherine LaFrance, son of Isaac Dow Tripp, son of Isaac Tripp, son of Job Tripp, son of Peleg Tripp, son of John Tripp the Founder. This Isaac Tripp's father died when he was only thirteen years of age, and hhe early entered upon a life of self-support. He followed the example of the father and engaged in farming. He located in Kingston in 1854, on the place where Frank Helms now lives. Subsequently living a year and a half on a farm on the hill wesst of Kingston, and in 1859 purchasing his late home of one hundred and thirty-eight acres, known as the Abbot farm. He was very successful as a stock breeder, and had in his possession a cow, which he raised on his farm, which weighed over three thousand pounds, undoubtedly the largest cow in the world, a very beautiful, well-proportioned animal of the Shorthorn Durham breed. It was looked upon with wonder by stockraisers from various parts of the United States and Canada, who in manuy cases traveled long distances to see so extraordinary an animal. Mr. Tripp was a Republican in his political views, and held the office of assessor of Providence. He was married first to Margaret Shoemaker of Pennsylvania and German origin.
