      When you and I were little, I was so proud to have a sister. Remember how inseparable we were? You were very important to me in high school. You carried messages from the girls to me so that I could have dates! Because of you I had steady girls all of the time. You and Darwin were so good to take us with you on double dates. Those were the days! You and Elizabeth have been after me to write down some of the stories that you have heard me tell of our ancestors. Well, after twenty years of discovery, I am finally able to get some information together for you. I am sending printouts of each family, starting with John the Founder and your relationship with each Grandfather. After each Grandfather, I am also making printouts of notes that I have recorded from memory about each one. These "stories" are resumes of an abundance of information left behind by their lives. This cover letter includes and starts off with the story about Zacheus Lester Tripp, who in my opinion, is the greatest hero, among many heroes in our family. He needs to be known and remembered!       . Dear Alice, You got me started and now I can't stop! I always have wanted to record for posterity but I hate writing ( no one can read it ), I hate typing, but I like computing! I don't sleep early at night, but I wake up early in the morning. So--I remember and record a lot of little stories about our past in the time I save by not sleeping! I think it would be very nice if you would also record some of your memories about growing up in the "Good Old Days". All of your nephews and nieces would love that and I am sure that your stories will be passed down to their children and grandchildren--for posterity!
