  George Douglas is my 3rd Cousin, four times removed. The first notice of George is from the book by Martha Bitson and Brother Dr. Sidney Douglass of White Clud Michigan which simply lists his name. Biography: See page 200 Clinton County New York History under the town of Altona "George Douglass lived at an early day on the original Simeon Wood place. Ezekiel Douglass, his oldest son served in the war of 1812." Page 284 Clinton County New York History under the town of Chazy "Ruben Smith and George Douglass settled at a very early day about a mile west of West Chzy...
