  • Notes
    • Anthony is my 2nd Cousin seven times removed. According to Thomas Lawley was a References: Randall, James manuscript from the New Bedford Library; Breffni Wheland, Decendant who specializes on daughters and their offspring; According Thomas lawley Anthony was Baptist Preacher starting churches in Pennsylvania and many more in North Carolina. Bock: Randall, James Tripp 8; Providence Wills 5:288-9; Arnold 2:276; Providence VR VR 5:546; Linda Tripp, Little Rock, Arkansas to Breffni Whelan. He moved to North Carolina, as did his brother Robert. He was Quaker preacher and established churches in PA and NC. He represented NC in the last Continental Congrss and was a representative to the NC House of Commons several times. Enough dates are not known to verify that he is the same as the Anthony who died in Rhode Island. A call to the Quaker head quarters in North Carolina got a vehement no as to whether or not Anthony ever was a Quaker minister. Herman William Tripp--Remembering......Cousin Anthony
