    Mayflower Passenger:
    John Billington, wife Elinor/Ellen and sons, John, age about 16, and Francis, age about 14, traveled on the Mayflower.

    Died:
    In September 1630 John Billington was tried by a jury and hanged for the murder of John Newcomen, whom he saw as an enemy. This was the first such execution in Plymouth colony. Bradford states he was approximately forty years of age.

    Eleanor Billington came on the Mayflower with her husband John Billington, and sons John and Francis. She was one of only four women to survive to the time of the First Thanksgiving in the autumn of 1621.
