    On May 1, 1753, Robert3 Tripp, courier, died in Providence, Rhode Island. (RI/VE) His will was dated April 24, 1753 and was recorded May 23, 1753. He appointed his son Gideon4 Tripp and James Mitchell of Middletown, Rhode Island to be his executors. In the will he gave what remained of his estate, after all debts were paid, to his wife, Alice Tripp, son, Gideon4, and daughter, Susannah4 Tripp, to be divided equally between the three of them. He also gave his wife, Alice, his silver cup, his son, Gideon4, his wearing apparel, his son Anthony4, his carpentry tools and one feather bed, his son Robert4, his currying tool and one feather bed, and his daughter Susanna4, six large silver spoons and six small silver spoons and two feather beds.
