Francis himself gave his age as 68 in a deposition from 1674, making him about fourteen when he came on the Mayflower with his parents John and Eleanor Billington.

John Billington, wife Elinor/Ellen and sons, John, age about 16, and Francis, age about 14, traveled on the Mayflower.

Died:
In September 1630 John Billington was tried by a jury and hanged for the murder of John Newcomen, whom he saw as an enemy. This was the first such execution in Plymouth colony. Bradford states he was approximately forty years of age.

John married Eleanor (-) Billington in Abt. 1605 in England. Eleanor was born in Abt. 1580 in England; died in Aft. 2 Mar 1643 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
