    Notes:

12-30-23 DC Currently researching this family based on Y-DNA test that shows Charles Freeman Swearingen is a descendant from John Tripp "The Founder". He has also matched to other Tripps in Pitt County North Carolina.

The earliest known ancestor identified by family is said to be James Jackson Tripp, they have indicated that Sarah never married him but had several children with him. All needs to be proven, no records found yet to tie Swearingen family to James Jackson Tripp.

Further DNA testing from James Jackson Tripp may provide additional proof of this relationship.

There are unknown children of Caleb Tripp (1732-1799) who could have had sons that moved to Georgia from North Carolina.
