    Adam Tripp, born Kane County, Illinois, enlisted at Bethany, Harrison County Missouri on March 24 1864 in the 23rd Missouri Infantry, was in Company's "g" and "C".

    He claimed disability due to neuralgia and liver and kidney disease contracted during the approach to and siege of Atlanta, from exposure to hard marching and inclement weather. He was discharged on July 18, 1865 at St. Louis, Missouri.

    He married at Eagleville Missouri by J. P. Anderson, Justice of the peace, to Arjane Riffe. They had nine children.

    In 1850 he lived in Lynn County Iowa; in 1860 at Marion Township, Harrison County, Missouri.

    His residences since 1865 were Harrison County, Missouri, except from about 1869 to 1874 he was in Nodaway County Missouri, He was 5 foot seven inches tall, dark complexion, gray eyes, black hair and was a farmer.

    He died at Eagleville, Harrison County, Missouri of paralysis.
