Chester Leroy Bowers nickname was Decker. He and his wife owned B & M Lunch in Runnells with partners, Bill and Peg Morehead. He and Leona Fay were married in the Judges Chambers Polk County Courthouse, Des Moines, Iowa. He died of a heart attack and is buried in the Loman Cemetery, Runnels, Iowa. My Great Grandmother Sanford, My Great Great Grandmother Prine, and my Great Great Great Grandmother Warren are all buried in the Loman Cemetery also. Herman William Tripp--Remembering......

Milton Evans Towne left Greenville, Ohio in 1866. He was last of 15 children. His first wife, Margaret Anna Cowman Towne, died shortly after moving to Iowa. her body was returned to Ohio for burial. He had 3 or 4 sons and a daughter who died in infancy by 1st wife. He had 3 sons and a daughter by second wife Marietta Jane Pond Towne. Interesting to me is that this information came from the birthplace of my Father, Joseph Raymond Tripp. Another coincidence, Milton Evans Towne is my 3rd Cousin, three times removed.
