Milton Evans Towne left Greenville, Ohio in 1866. He was last of 15 children. His first wife, Margaret Anna Cowman Towne, died shortly after moving to Iowa. her body was returned to Ohio for burial. He had 3 or 4 sons and a daughter who died in infancy by 1st wife. He had 3 sons and a daughter by second wife Marietta Jane Pond Towne. Interesting to me is that this information came from the birthplace of my Father, Joseph Raymond Tripp. Another coincidence, Milton Evans Towne is my 3rd Cousin, three times removed. It is interesting that Mary is number 185, which means that she w was entered into the Tripp File during the first day by my Grandson David Joseph Tripp, and now many years later I am entering her descendants with Rin numbers more than 51,800.
