Sheffield apparently died before 1850, probably in Scarborough. 1850 Illinois Census, Kane County Hampshire Township #57-Lydia Tripp ( not Sheffield ) 67 born New York, Andrew 30 and William 15 both b Canada West. Lydia came to Iowa in the fall of 1853 with son Charles.
