References: Randall from the New Bedford Library, New Bedford Massachusetts. Anthony Tripp enlisted March 1777, under Col. Brown, also 24 New York 1779 with Capt. Ebenezer Cady, and again on 3 February 1780, with Capt Elijah Bostwick in the Revolutionary War. He received a pension in 1844. He removed to Abion or Barre about 1811, bought the homestead where his descendants now live, about two miles south of Albion on Main Street. Bock: He enlisted March 1777 under Co. Ebenezer Cady, again 3 Feb 1780 with Capt Elijah Bostwick in Rev W, receiving pension in 1844. he rem. to Albion or Barre about 1811 and bought homestead on Main St. he is listed in NY 1800 Census for Deleware County, 287:2, In 1811, he came to Barre and took up 100 acres of land about two miles South of Albion, but did not settle on it because of the War of 1812. later, his son Samuel built a log house there and he moved into it with his family in 1824 ( Thomas). First seven children recorded in Greenwich; Bock: His marriae to Amy Shippee is also listed in Greenwich, Fairfield , Connecticutt (IGI CT, probably in error). He rem from W. Greenwich RI to Stephentown New York ca 1769 (Letter wr by Arthur Tripp, 8-30-1917), although the 1777 military census from RI ROOTS shows a Giden, age 16-50, able to bear arms in West Greenwich. In 1790, he was listed in Stphentown, Albany County, New York with 4 males over 16 and 2 females (census). He rem to Nassau, Rensselaer County New York from RI and engaged in farming and milling. He was Justice of Peace form many years (Portrait and Biographical Album of Ingham and Livingston Counties [Chicago 1891] 849-50.
