In the past individuals could send queries to me and I
would post them on this page. But I have decided that individuals
could gain a lot more exposure for their query by posting it at Tripp
Surname Message Board or Tripp
Family Genealogy Forum.
September 8, 2001 Hello my name is Kelly
Reeves. I
am trying to gather information on a N.C. Tripp. I recently found
a watercolor at a Westport, MA yard sale. It is of an gentleman on
a chesnut saddlebred (or other gaited horse breed). It is signed
N.C. Tripp in the lower right corner. That's all I know. The picture
is beautifully done and I thought perhaps someone would know a Tripp
by those initials who was an artist. I love horses and would like
to know more about the person and maybe the horse. Thankyou!

E. Pote My grandfather's name was Mark (no middle name) Tripp, born in Porter,
Maine in 1888.
His father's name was Mark Harold Tripp and his mother's name
was Thankful Gilpatrick born 2/12/1851, we think. It also appears
that
there was a cousin of Mark Harold Tripp (my g-grandfather),
Daniel Tripp, who was a Boston policeman but that's all the information
we have so far.

Damerow I'm looking
for any information about the Tripps that were settled in the Ashtabula
County area of Ohio for nearly the entire 1800s. My gggrandfather,
Thomas A. Tripp (b.6-17-1815 in ?) moved to Ohio when he was 4
yrs old with his father Thomas Tripp. What scant info. I have on
Thomas
Tripp is that he was born in 1779(?), married a woman named Margaret
(b. 1785 in Rhode Island?) and had 4 children; Desiree (b. 1807),
Richard (b. 1809), Thomas A., and Mary M. (b. 1819). I have no
info on any of these children except Thomas A. Further descendants
of
Thomas A. Tripp and his first wife Mary A Spear were; Brunnell
J, Mathilda E, Egbert G, Arthur W, Jonathon Nye, George A and Ellen
L Tripp. He had no children with his second wife, Clarinda Alderman.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Kendal I
am looking for information ( or the current address) on the marriage
of Jade ( June ) Norma MADDISON, daughter of Norah Anne Maddison
into the TRIPP family. The marriage would be in Australia or Papua
New Guinea. The husband's name is not known, but I'm still looking.
The last known where abouts of Jade Norma Tripp is at Konedobu (
PNG ) in 1970 working for the PNG Department of Information and External
Services. Jade had twin boys early in her life who were adopted out
at birth. I am looking for my mother. I would appreciate any help
your web site can give. Regards
Dec. 28, 2000 Anne Harper My Trippe is spelled
with an "e" but I hope I can still post to this list since
spelling doesn't count in genealogy. I'm looking for any information
on my gg-grandfather, Jessee E. Trippe. All I know is that he was
a medical doctor, is listed on the 1850 Lauderdale Co., MS, Census.
His wife, Mary and their daughters, Jessie (my g-grandmother) and
Sarah show up on the 1860 Choctaw Co., AL census living with Mary's
brother H.E. Ryan. There is no mention of Jessee Trippe, so I'm assuming
he died between 1850 and 1860. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Tripp Gurganus For several years, I have tried to find out who my ggrandfather was.
I now think he was Caleb TRIPP, but cannot definitely tie him into
my Pitt County, NC, family. My grandfather was Joshua TRIPP, b ca
1805, Pitt Co, NC; d May 1870, Pitt Co, NC. This is the Caleb TRIPP
whom I'm tracing: Caleb TRIPP, b ca 1732, Newport, RI > Caleb's
father, Othniel TRIPP, b Mar 22, 1706/7, Washington, RI > Othniel's
father, Othniel TRIPP, b Jun 5, 1676, Newport, RI > Othniel's
father, John TRIPP, b ca 1640, Newport, RI > John's father, John
TRIPP, b 1610, Coveton, Lincolnshire, England; d 1768, Portsmouth,
Newport, RI I will be grateful for any information that may help
me to connect Caleb to Joshua, or point me in another direction if
Caleb isn't Joshua, Sr.'s father. I am organizing a TRIPP reunion
for August 5 and would really love to have this information for this
year's reunion.
