Here is the PDF image of the Bishop's Transcript.

As I understand it, the PARISH REGISTER remained at all times in the parish church.

However, annually, the Bishop or one of his assistants, forwarded the record of baptisms, marriages and buriels to, probably, LONDON.

Anyway, that's why we have TWO records of the marriage of John Tripp to Esable Moyses (spelling is different on the PARISH REGISTER, "Elizabeth Moyses" but its the same gal, same date of marriage, same husband.
